Edmonton Oilers defenseman Mattias Ekholm (illness) did not practice on Wednesday and is questionable for Thursday's matchup against the Montreal Canadiens. Due to an illness, Ekholm was unable to finish Tuesday's game against the Anaheim Ducks, exiting the game with 13:12 remaining in the third period. According to Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch, Ekholm has been battling the illness for some time. Edmonton is now considering giving him a bit of time off to recover. Ekholm has posted 27 points (eight goals, 19 assists) in 60 games with 134 shots and 86 blocks. Troy Stecher looks poised to return to the lineup if Ekholm doesn't play on Thursday. Strecher lacks fantasy appeal, as he has managed only six points (three goals, three assists) in 47 outings.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
