Jonathan Williams Could See Role Increased To Start Year
7 years agoNew Orleans Saints running back Jonathan Williams could be among the players asked to step up to begin the 2018 season with Mark Ingram suspended for the first four games. The former fifth-rounder of the Bills in 2016 carried the ball 27 times for 94 yards and a touchdown in his rookie season but hasn't played since. Alvin Kamara will be the main back with Ingram out, but Williams could compete with Daniel Lasco, Trey Edmunds and rookie Boston Scott for scraps as the backup. Even if Williams sees some action behind Kamara to open the season, he won't be much of a fantasy asset.
