The Florida Panthers have extended center Jesper Boqvist to a two-year contract with a $1.5 million average value. Boqvist has enjoyed a breakout campaign this season. Boqvist has found the back of the net 12 times (career-high) and added 10 helpers (three shot of matching a career-high). The 26-year-old has held a +2 rating with 64 shots on goal, 18 blocked shots, and an impressive 136 hits. This is a strong improvement over the 14 points he tallied during the 2023 season. Over his previous eight contests, Boqvist has tallied two points (both helpers) with a +5 rating. During this span, he has averaged 2.6 hits per game and 1.0 shots on goal per game. Fantasy managers should continue to expect Boqvist to continue to have a role in the Florida bottom-six and carry value in deeper formats that reward hits.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
