Dylan Larkin Ends Dry Spell With Two-Assist Effort
Detroit Red Wings center Dylan Larkin broke a five-game scoring drought in Friday's matchup against the Carolina Hurricanes, bagging a pair of points via assists in a 5-3 victory. He helped to set up Ben Chiarot for the game's opening goal and collected the lone helper when Alex DeBrincat capped off the surprising victory with an empty-net tally. Larkin remains on track for his second 70-point campaign, but it has been a struggle for him during the last three weeks. In 10 outings, the Red Wings captain has finished without a point seven times. Despite his drop in form, Larkin is tied with DeBrincat for the second-most points on the team, sitting on 64 points (28 goals, 36 assists) through 75 outings.
