New Jersey Devils center Dawson Mercer found the back of the net twice during their 5-3 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday evening. Mercer would score his first goal of the evening in the opening frame on the power play. Later in the second, Mercer would score his second of the night, once again on the power play. He logged four total shots on goal and added four hits and one blocked shot. This outing extended his point streak to two games. However, before this recent stretch, the 23-year-old was riding a six-game scoreless streak. Through 73 contests this season, Mercer has found the back of the net 17 times and added 14 helpers. He will look to stay productive on the scoresheet on Friday evening against the Winnipeg Jets.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
