Seattle Kraken defenseman Brandon Montour (ankle) is on track to be in the lineup for opening night. According to Alison Lukan of the Kraken Hockey Network, Kraken head coach Lane Lambert said Sunday that he feels "very confident" Montour will be ready for the first game of the season. A minor ankle procedure has disrupted Montour's preparations for the season. Montour was fourth among all blue-liners with a career-high 18 goals last season and finished the year with 41 points in 81 games. He's also valuable in fantasy hockey for his defensive stats, as Montour recorded 100 blocks and 84 hits in 2024-25.--Taavi Pailk
