Bears Sign Trey Burton
7 years agoThe Chicago Bears are signing free-agent tight end Trey Burton to a four-year, $32 million deal, according to a source. The Bears are quickly working to upgrade their pass-catching corps, as they also signed wide receiver Allen Robinson. Burton played second fiddle to Zach Ertz in Philly in 2017 and caught 23 passes for 248 yards and five touchdowns, but he should fare much better in Chicago with young quarterback Mitch Trubisky at the helm. Burton's fantasy value will rise considerably, but his upside could be limited due to the presence of promising young tight end Adam Shaheen.
