Mid-Week Waiver Wire Rankings - Fantasy Baseball Pickups: Zack Gelof, Tyler Fitzgerald, A.J. Puk, River Ryan, Daniel Hudson, Jackson Jobe

Zack Gelof - fantasy baseball draft sleepers DFS MLB injury news

Mid-week fantasy baseball waiver wire rankings for Week 18 (2024). Free-agent hitters and pitchers to add include Zack Gelof, Tyler Fitzgerald, A.J. Puk, River Ryan, Daniel Hudson, Jackson Jobe.

Welcome back, RotoBallers, to more waiver wire articles. The second half of the season has started, and we are already a week away from turning the calendar page to August. It's time to build those fantasy rosters for the championship run. Today, we will review our mid-week waiver rankings for Week 18 -- July 22 through July 28 -- article to help you stay on top of the waiver wire, especially in leagues that allow daily moves. Minnesota Twins right-hander David Festa and Baltimore Orioles right-hander Chayce McDermott were recently recalled to the majors. Other top prospects, such as Coby Mayo, Junior Caminero, Zebby Matthews, Tyler Black, Dylan Crews, and Cade Horton, patiently await the call to the big leagues.

Some notable recent performances include Oakland A's second baseman Zack Gelof. The 24-year-old has been crushing the ball lately, homering three times and driving in six runs over his last eight games. San Francisco Giants outfielder Tyler Fitzgerald continues to mash and has homered in five of his previous six games. Fitzgerald is hitting .529 (9-for-17) with five home runs, seven RBI, eight runs, and six walks during that span. Miami Marlins southpaw A.J. Puk continues to cruise and hasn't allowed a run since June 17. Puk owns a 0.42 ERA with an elite 25:3 K: B.B. over his last 16 2/3 innings. Puk was recently traded to Arizona. Injuries continued to pile up as the Mariners placed Julio Rodriguez on the injured list. New York Mets rookie Christian Scott landed on the injured list with a UCL sprain in his right elbow.

This edition features players such as Zack Gelof, Tyler Fitzgerald, A.J. Puk, River Ryan, Daniel Hudson, Jackson Jobe, Brooks Lee, Matt McLain, Drew Thorpe, Spencer Schwellenbach, Jeffrey Springs, Coby Mayo, and Angel Martinez. We're here, as always, to help you stay on top of the latest waiver-wire options, especially in leagues that allow for daily moves. Prospects who are making impacts continue to be called up, so you'll need to be informed. Be sure to stay on top of our weekly waiver wire rankings and turn on MLB news alerts to stay ahead of the curve. Once you're done here, check out our fantasy baseball prospects articles for the latest names to stash and pick up.

Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Pickups List

For anyone unfamiliar, we release all sorts of fantasy baseball waiver wire articles every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. As part of that, Nick Mariano releases our waiver wire rankings list on Sundays to help you prioritize which players to target as free-agent adds off waivers.

In addition, we are also putting out a second waiver wire rankings list mid-week. Since many fantasy baseball leagues have daily waiver-wire moves or multiple waiver-wire runs per week for adding players, this mid-week rankings list should help you keep track of players emerging in the middle of the week before we reach Sunday.

This article will guide you with our weekly ranking for the relevant waiver-wire pickup options, including how to prioritize them for your league (depending on the league size). Roster % is from Yahoo leagues.
