Randy Arozarena Heading to Injured List With Hamstring Inflammation
The Seattle Mariners are placing outfielder Randy Arozarena (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list on Tuesday after an MRI exam showed mild left-hamstring inflammation, which is more than the team expected, according to Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times. The Mariners' hands were a little tied with both outfielder Luke Raley (back) and first baseman Josh Naylor (wrist) nursing minor injuries this week. The Mariners said earlier that Arozarena would be available off the bench on Tuesday and was expected to return to the starting lineup on Wednesday, so we'd expect him to be ready to come off the IL when he's eligible. Until then, both Rob Refsnyder and Victor Robles could platoon in Seattle's outfield, with Refsnyder starting on the short side of a platoon versus lefties. It's a tough blow in the short term for the M's, as Arozarena has been one of the team's top producers in 2026 with a .291/.377/.448 slash line, .826 OPS, seven long balls, 33 RBI, 19 stolen bases, and 47 runs scored in his 261 at-bats. Fantasy managers need to keep Arozarena stashed in an IL spot in all formats.
