CFB DFS Rankings - Daily Fantasy College Football Rankings for Week 5 (Saturday 10/1)

Brad's CFB DFS rankings for Week 5 on 10/1/22. His daily fantasy college football rankings for QBs, RBs and WRs and the DFS slates on DraftKings and FanDuel.

This week we have a few notable teams and some lesser known squads to pick from. Also this week, we may have to deal with the impacts of Hurricane Ian, so keep an eye on any notes as the week goes. There are nice pay-up options at every position and some sneaky value across the board.

There is no one direct way to build lineups this week as there are several options at each position that provide value. In terms of game totals, Kentucky/Ole Miss, Texas Tech/Kansas St, and Oklahoma/TCU really stand out as potential game stacking options.

In this article below, you will find my CFB DFS lineup picks for Week 5 (Saturday, October 1st) via my positional college football rankings. Use these CFB DFS rankings when building daily fantasy college football on DraftKings, and be sure to read the rest of our CFB DFS articles and CFB betting articles as well. Good luck RotoBallers!

CFB DFS Quarterback Rankings

QB GPP Rankings  Per $ QB Cash Rankings  Per $
1 Taulia Tagovailoa 1 Sam Hartman
2 Sam Hartman 2 Bryce Young
3 Hunter Dekkers 3 Will Levis
4 Bryce Young 4 Spencer Sanders
5 Jordan Travis 5 Hunter Dekkers
6 Jalon Daniels 6 Jordan Travis
7 Will Levis 7 Dillion Gabriel
8 Dillon Gabriel 8 Jalon Daniels
9 Spencer Sanders 9 Will Rogers
10 Adrian Martinez 10 Tanner Morgan

The cash game options at QB this week are rock solid as Hartman, Young and Levis are all good value and should provide a very stable floor. You also have lower priced options like Hunter Dekkers at Iowa St. or Tanner Morgan at Minnesota who may not be flashy, but have nice floors and will allow you to pay up at other spots.

In GPP’s keep an eye on the injury to Tagovailoa, if he can go he will be very low owned in a match-up against an atrocious secondary. Although he should be fine this week, Jordan Travis did just make his return from injury last week, the Wake Forest and Florida State game could be a shoot out!

CFB DFS Running Back Rankings

RB GPP Rankings  Per $ RB Cash Rankings  Per $
1 Quinshon Judkins 1 Mohamed Ibrahim
2 Devon Achane 2 Deuce Vaughn
3 Deuce Vaughn 3 Devon Achane
4 Mohamed Ibrahim 4 Richard Reese
5 Richard Reese 5 Jirehl Brock
6 Braelon Allen 6 Braelon Allen
7 Raheim Sanders 7 Roman Hemby
8 Brad Roberts 8 Quinshon Judkins
9 Chase Brown 9 Zach Evans
10 Blake Corum 10 Raheim Sanders

Another week, another time you can just plug Mo Ibrahim into your cash game lineups and move on. He is a virtual lock for 100 yards and a score, which even at an elevated price is a nice floor. There are some nice cost saving options in good match-ups as well, especially in the Iowa State and Baylor game.

On the flip side, some of the best running backs in college football face terrible match-ups. Blake Corum (Iowa), Chase Brown (Wisconsin) and Brad Roberts (Navy) are all up against slow paced teams based around a great defense. All are talented enough to strike big, but beware of a low floor.

CFB DFS Wide Receiver Rankings

WR GPP Rankings  Per $ WR Cash Rankings  Per $
1 Braydon Johnson 1 Charlie Jones
2 Evan Stewart 2 Tayvion Robinson
3 A.T. Perry 3 Myles Price
4 Xavier Hutchinson 4 Daniel Jackson
5 Tayvion Robinson 5 Braydon Johnson
6 Marvin Mims 6 Evan Stewart
7 Johnny Wilson 7 Xavier Hutchinson
8 Dylan Wright 8 A.T. Perry
9 Myles Price 9 Traeshon Holden
10 Charlie Jones 10 Caleb Ducking

A week after Draftkings has to revise their pricing, they again priced the most productive WR in college at just $6,400. This week is a bit different as the Boilermakers face off one of the best defenses thus far in college football and could also be without their starting QB. Jones is still too cheap in cash games but temper expectations in GPP’s.

In GPP’s, I have Johnson and Stewart as the top values on the board as both are simply too talented for their prices. Stewart just returned from suspension last week and with Ainias Smith out, should see a much bigger role this week. Also keep an eye on the Minnesota WR group as they will be low owned in plus match-up.
