CFB DFS Rankings - Daily Fantasy College Football Rankings for Week 3 (Saturday 9/17)

Sean Tucker - CFB DFS Lineup Picks, Daily Fantasy College Football, NFL Draft Rookie

Brad's CFB DFS rankings for Week 3 on 9/17/22. His daily fantasy college football rankings for QBs, RBs and WRs and the DFS slates on DraftKings and FanDuel.

Now that we are into the heart of the college football season, we have a little more of an idea of playing time and style for each team. Also, there are a few injuries to monitor that will likely have big impacts on the values of certain players. The main CFB DFS slate on DraftKings is 13 games with a nice mix of popular teams, and a few under-the-radar teams that should provide some nice value. There are a few games with totals just over 60, while a game like Notre Dame and California is currently sitting around the 41-point mark.

Although late news is always important, this CFB DFS slate may be even more key due to a few injuries and also a few potential time-share situations that had not previously existed. News for college football can be tough to find with no official injury reports or depth charts, but any key piece of news can mean the difference between a min cash and a huge payday.

In this article below, you will find my CFB DFS lineup picks for Week 3 (Saturday, September 17th) via my positional college football rankings. Use these CFB DFS rankings when building daily fantasy college football on DraftKings, and be sure to read the rest of our CFB DFS articles and CFB betting articles as well. Good luck RotoBallers!

**Injury updates: King Doerue is OUT this week for Purdue. Dylan Downing is a decent punt option, but this also boosts the Purdue pass game as they are likely to air the ball out more against Syracuse.**

CFB DFS Quarterback Rankings

QB GPP Rankings Per $ QB Cash Rankings Per $
1 Garrett Schrader 1 Garrett Schrader
2 Casey Thompson 2 Austin Reed
3 Dillion Gabriel 3 Casey Thompson
4 Rocky Lombardi 4 Dillon Gabriel
5 D. Thompson-Robinson 5 Clayton Tune
6 Austin Reed 6 Stetson Bennett
7 Clayton Tune 7 Bo Nix
8 Jaren Hall 8 Sean Clifford
9 Connor Bazelak 9 Tanner Morgan
10 Jalon Daniels 10 Carter Bradley

At quarterback, the top of the board looks pretty clear as Garrett Schrader has at least 33 fantasy points in both games, and faces a Purdue that isn’t exactly lock down. The Indiana and Western Kentucky game should also be fast-paced, making both Austin Reed and Connor Bazelak interesting.

Perhaps the most interesting actual game of the weekend is Oklahoma vs Nebraska. It is almost a lock OU win, but it will be interesting to see how the Huskers play. It is worth noting that at Texas last year, Casey Thompson put up 388 yards and five touchdowns through the air.

CFB DFS Running Back Rankings

RB GPP Rankings Per $ RB Cash Rankings Per $
1 Devin Neal 1 Sean Tucker
2 Nicholas Singleton 2 Zach Evans
3 Sean Tucker 3 Mohamed Ibrahim
4 Mohamed Ibrahim 4 Devin Neal
5 Zach Evans 5 Kenny McIntosh
6 Zach Charbonnet 6 La'Damian Webb
7 Shaun Shivers 7 Tank Bigsby
8 Audric Estime 8 Anthony Grant
9 Anthony Grant 9 Audric Estime
10 Ray Davis 10 Jaydn Ott

With value all over the board, it should be easy to fit both Ibrahim and Tucker into cash games. Both are bell cow backs who should get a ton of work in competitive games. For cash games, be sure to watch the Notre Dame situation, with a backup quarterback, they seem likely to run the ball a bit more this week.

On the GPP side, Penn State has a tough matchup, but freshman Nicholas Singleton had a monster game last week and could be a slate breaker again this week. Also watch the UCLA situation, if Charbonnet sits again this week, that could open up more value.

CFB DFS Wide Receiver Rankings

WR GPP Rankings Per $ WR Cash Rankings Per $
1 Nathaniel Dell 1 Charlie Jones
2 Chase Roberts* 2 Chase Roberts*
3 Trey Palmer 3 Daewood Davis
4 Daewood Davis 4 Mitchell Tinsley
5 Charlie Jones 5 Trey Palmer
6 Marvin Mims 6 Nathaniel Dell
7 Malachi Corley 7 Michael Mayer
8 Cam Camper 8 Michael Trigg
9 Jalen Wayne 9 Cam Camper
10 Antwane Wells Jr. 10 Chris Autman-Bell

After an initial pricing mistake, Draftkings has made Charlie Jones $8,000, which means he is not a great GPP play, but due to 21 receptions in two games, remains a rock solid cash game play.

Also, keep an eye on BYU, if Gunner Romney and Puka Nacua are out, Chase Roberts is a lock and load. If those two play, Roberts is better as a true punt. If Nacua plays, he is also a great option after a huge first half in the Cougars' opener.
