Daily Fantasy Baseball Streamers - MLB Hitter, Pitcher Lineup Picks for Friday 6/4

Welcome to another edition of our daily fantasy baseball streamers! Are you playing in leagues with daily moves and looking to beef up those rosters? We here at RotoBaller are there for you and all of your streaming needs. Whether you are just trying to get that elusive category win or you are trying to give your pitching staff a lift because of another suboptimal outing from Gerrit Cole, we can help. Each day, RotoBaller will provide you with some of the best streaming options to consider in both shallow and deep fantasy baseball daily leagues. Streaming hitters and pitchers to exploit matchups are important to help you win your league.

It is important to know your league if you're going to stream. I'm not just talking about which teams your leaguemates root for. I'm talking about whether strikeouts count against you for hitters or if fielding stats are included. Most importantly, you need to know how many transactions you have per week. You don't want to blow your allotment within a couple of days. You can also use these recommendations to help build your DFS lineups. This article will use rostered percentages and position eligibility from ESPN leagues.

We have eight pitchers who are over 90% rostered and another five that are above 50%. That only leaves us 13 pitchers who are under 50% rostered. How bad is this pond today? Not as bad as you might think once you jump into it.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball waiver wire pickups and weekly lineup resources:

Hitter Streamers for 6/4 - Shallow Leagues

Evan Longoria (3B, RHB, SF) - 44.9% Rostered

Matchup: vs. CHC RHP  Jake Arrieta

Longoria is getting a MRI on his sore side today, but let's hope he's back in the lineup because he is destroying baseballs right now. Longoria is hitting .440 with four homers and 12 RBI in his last seven games. He also has a homer against Jake Arrieta in his career. This is hoping that the layoff didn't do anything to his timing. Longoria had a May like he was used to having in Tampa. Can that carry over to June?

Alex Kiriloff (1B/OF, LHB, MIN) - 43% Rostered

Matchup: at KC RHP Brad Keller

Kiriloff hasn't been the same since returning from a wrist injury, but maybe the day off last night will let him reset a little bit. The ability is still there. Keller isn't as bad as he was earlier in the season, but he's still not pitching well. He is issuing too many walks and allowing too much hard contact. A refreshed Kiriloff should be able to take advantage of that.

Hunter Renfroe (OF, RHB, BOS) - 30.7% Rostered

Matchup: at NYY RHP Michael King

This is mostly going to be a bullpen game for the Yankees since King hasn't gone more than three innings in a game since the first week of April. Renfroe is on fire right now with a seven-game hitting streak over which he is hitting .563 with two homers, four RBI, and nine runs scored. Those counting stats help you in any league. Renfroe has always been a streaky player. He is as hot as ever right now. Ride it until he cools off!

Jonathan Schoop (1B/2B, RHB, DET) - 22.5% Rostered

Matchup: at CWS LHP Dallas Keuchel

This Detroit offense is starting to heat up and no one is hotter than Schoop right now. He is hitting .455 with four homers, six RBI, and six runs scored in the last week alone. The Tigers have put the hot bat in the middle of their order, which increases the RBI chances. Keuchel doesn't give up a ton of home runs, but he doesn't really strike out anyone either. Schoop does have a homer against Keuchel in 13 career at bats. Add that to his current heater, and this looks like a good pickup tonight.

Hitter Streamers for 6/4 - Deep Leagues

Willy Adames (SS, RHB, MIL) - 19.3% Rostered

Matchup: vs. ARI RHP Matt Peacock

Those of you watching advanced metrics and Statcast should feel the vindication of Adames' heater since being traded to the Brewers. Those watching his recent barrel percentage, launch angle, and exit velocity predicted Adames would get going soon. He is 12-for-41 with five runs, two homers, and nine RBI since joining the Brewers and is showing no signs of slowing down. Those numbers improve to .348 with two homers and seven RBI in the last week. The only knock on Adames right now is that he's hitting sixth or seventh. That's it.

Odubel Herrera (OF, LHB, PHI) - 14.2% Rostered

Matchup: vs. WAS RHP Max Scherzer

It may seem odd to stream a guy against Mad Max, but hear me out. Herrera is hitting .391 with two homers, three RBI, and seven runs in the last week. Nice, but why run him against Max? We all know that Scherzer gives up his share of long balls. He has allowed 11 to the current Phillies roster in his career. Odubel has two of them with four doubles, five RBI, and two steals against Scherzer in 43 at bats with a nice .349 average. Are you convinced yet?

Patrick Wisdom (1B, RHB, CHC) - 13.8% Rostered

Matchup: at SF LHP Scott Kazmir

Yes, it's that Scott Kazmir. Rizzo is back, so the Cubs are going to have to get creative to work Wisdom in the lineup. I have a feeling that they will tonight. Wisdom is hitting .476 with four homers, a steal, five RBI, and five runs scored in the last week. Putting him out there against a guy that made his debut when Wisdom was in grade school seems like a good idea.

Luis Urias (2B/SS/3B, RHB, MIL) - 7.8% Rostered

Matchup: vs. ARI RHP Matt Peacock

What do we know about Urias, other than the fact that he has homered in back-to-back games? Not a lot. His seven homers so far this year are more than he had in 372 major league at bats coming into the season. He is just 24, so this power development may not be an aberration. However, closer inspection of his minor league career shows that he only has one double-digit home run season to his credit. That was with the Triple-A El Paso Chihuahuas in 2019. Maybe there is something to this power thing after all. May as well pick him up and find out!

Pitcher Streamers for 6/4 - Shallow Leagues

Spencer Turnbull (RHP, DET) - 41.7% rostered

Matchup: at Chicago White Sox

The White Sox have only scored more than five runs three times since putting up 16 on the Twins back on May 17. The overall offensive numbers are still good on this team, but they aren't quite as good as you may think. The White Sox are still striking out 27.8% of the time against right-handed pitching. With Andrew Vaughn landing on the COVID list, that leaves a spot open for Jake Lamb, who strikes out a little more liberally than Vaughn. Turnbull has decent strikeout numbers and a good WHIP, but walks are sometimes a problem for him. However, the 3.09 xERA suggests that this isn't all just smoke and mirrors for Turnbull. He induces a lot of ground balls and isn't getting barreled by hitters (just 4.6%) on the season. Turnbull appears to be worth the risk here.

Jon Gray (RHP, COL) - 39.3% rostered

Matchup: vs. Oakland

Gray is a streamer's dream. You don't have to keep him on your roster when he's on the road, and many people don't realize how good he is at home because it defies logic. His ERA is about a quarter of a run lower at home in his career. Good, but not great. However, the difference has been over a whole run in each of the last three years. This year it's even worse. Gray has a 6.75 ERA in four road starts and a 2.36 ERA in seven home starts. He has only given up four homers at Coors and averages nearly a strikeout per inning. Now he gets an Oakland team that loses a DH for their trip to the mountains. It should be another good home start for Gray.

Pitcher Streamers for 6/4 - Deep Leagues

Cody Poteet (RHP, MIA) - 27.7% Rostered

Matchup: at Pittsburgh

Poteet got roughed up a bit at Fenway, but it was his first trip to an AL park. He survived trips to Philly and Arizona, two noted hitter's parks. Now he gets a Pittsburgh team that is setting new records for awful. The return of Ke'Bryan Hayes will help some, but we are talking about a team that won just eight games in May. The Pirates got to the Miami bullpen last night and scored five runs in their first game this month, so there are signs of improvement. I still like what I've seen from Poteet enough to run him here. Don't forget that Elieser Hernandez (quad) pitched well against Pittsburgh last night. It was the bullpen that surrendered the runs.
