Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 7:
Tyrone Tracy Jr., New York Giants
New York Giants running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. could see a larger workload moving forward, according to ESPN's Dan Graziano. In six games this season, Tracy has 13 carries for 40 yards and a touchdown, plus four receptions for 52 yards and a touchdown.
The Giants' backfield saw a major shakeup last week, with Cam Skattebo playing just six snaps and taking no carries, despite being the team's lead back through the first five games.
With Skattebo phased out and veteran Najee Harris released on Tuesday, Tracy could be in line for an increased workload in Week 7. Fantasy managers should roster Tracy in most leagues this week, as he could emerge as the lead back, assuming the Giants don't add another back at this year's trade deadline.
Tyler Allgeier, Arizona Cardinals
Arizona Cardinals running back Tyler Allgeier carried the ball 18 times for 38 yards (2.1 yards per carry) and added one reception (on two targets) for 10 yards in an 18-16 upset victory over the Los Angeles Rams. Statistically speaking, it was a disappointing day for Allgeier, who had an opportunity for a big game with rookie running back and starter Jeremiyah Love (ankle) out with an ankle injury on Sunday.
Allgeier drew the start against the Rams and led the backfield in offensive snaps with 40, but he was easily out-produced by running back Bam Knight, who led the Cardinals with 80 rushing yards on just 15 attempts (5.3 yards per carry).
Knight also had two receptions for 18 yards. Allgeier's fantasy relevance moving forward will depend on Love's status, but Knight having the much more productive and efficient game is not a great sign for fantasy managers who were counting on Allgeier.
Cam Skattebo, New York Giants
New York Giants head coach John Harbaugh said in his postgame press conference that the team didn't bench running back Cam Skattebo. When asked why Skattebo didn't get any carries in the 34-27 loss to the New Orleans Saints, Harbaugh said, "It wasn't by design. All those guys were taking equal reps in the first half. We were trying to see who could make something happen, who could kind of get a hot hand and earn it."
Skattebo logged zero touches despite averaging 18.2 attempts over the previous five weeks. The positive news for Skattebo was that, as Harbaugh said, "No one took the bull by the horns," with Tyrone Tracy Jr., Devin Singletary, and Najee Harris totaling 14 carries for 34 yards while facing the worst rushing defense in the NFL up to that point.
For now, Skattebo's a stash and shouldn't be dropped by any fantasy manager, though his weekly starting value is non-existent after the team's decision.
Alvin Kamara, New Orleans Saints
New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara rushed for 34 yards on seven carries during Sunday's Week 6 win over the New York Giants. He also caught two of his four targets for 35 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown. The highlight of his game was a 31-yard touchdown reception that accounted for more than half of his fantasy points in the win.
Kamara also made history with his impressive outing, becoming just the sixth player in NFL history to reach at least 5,000 career rushing yards and 5,000 career receiving yards. Kamara is firmly entrenched in the No. 2 role behind Kendre Miller, who had 20 carries this week.
However, Sunday's game showed that Kamara still has a path to RB3/flex value in fantasy football leagues, especially PPR formats. He has some fantasy appeal for Week 7 against the Steelers, even if he's somewhat touchdown-dependent.
DK Metcalf, Pittsburgh Steelers
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf was heavily targeted in a 26-19 overtime victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 6. He drew 15 targets from quarterback Aaron Rodgers in the passing game and recorded 11 receptions for 93 yards (8.5 yards per reception). Metcalf led the Steelers in targets and receiving yards, and tied rookie wideout Germie Bernard in receptions.
Bernard did find the end zone in overtime, while Metcalf did not score. Rodgers also connected on a touchdown pass to tight end Darnell Washington in regulation. The number of targets and receptions were both season highs for Metcalf. After a slow start for Pittsburgh's offense in 2026, things seem to be picking up for Metcalf and the Steelers.
