Tyrone Tracy Jr. fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 9 (2024). Should you start or sit Tyrone Tracy Jr. for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start (if he plays)
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB2
ANALYSIS: New York Giants running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. (concussion) has been one of the most surprising rookies of this year's draft. He wasn't selected until the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, but he's quickly earned a reputation as an explosive runner, and seems to have supplanted former starting RB Devin Singletary quickly.

He also earned workhorse usage in three of the past four weeks, with the lone exception being a blowout loss to the Philadelphia Eagles -- negative game scripts are killer for RB rushing production. Tracy carried the ball 18, 17, and 20 times in those games, and was also targeted 11 times.

It looks like he's legit, so he can be safely started if he's able to clear concussion protocol and suit up for his Week 9 game against the Washington Commanders. It's odd to see Singletary get so little work, considering he was actually solid when he played, but it's clear which player has more burst.
The rookie and fellow freshman Malik Nabers, the team's first-round pick at wide receiver, seem to be injecting life into an offense that was effectively dead in the water in 2023. Both should be started when they play.
