ANALYSIS: In Week 1, the Seattle Seahawks pted to nearly split the backfield 50/50 as Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet logged 10 and 12 carries, respectively. However, it was Charbonnet who enjoyed their more productive outing. Then in Week 2, both running backs remained a split committee, but Walker was the one who got on the scoreboard, totaling 18.8 PPR points to Charbonnet's 1.0.
In Week 3, Walker was able to have the backfield to himself as Charbonnet was sidelined with a foot injury. In this game, Walker logged 16 carries for 38 yards and two touchdowns. Although he was not as efficient in this game, he was able to salvage his day with two rushing scores.
However, with Charbonnet returning to practice, fantasy managers should expect this backfield to return to its committee approach.
In Weeks 1 and 2, managers saw Walker have two very mixed outings, which makes him tough to trust for fantasy. While the Seahawks may opt to lean on Walker, given Charbonnet's injury, his participation in practice suggests it is likely to revert to a 50/50 committee.
As a result, Walker carries RB3/FLEX upside facing the Arizona Cardinals, who have allowed the 11th-most PPR points to opposing RBs this season. With Charbonnet slated to return, his upside may be capped in this game.
