Terry McLaurin Looks To Bounce Back In Week 18
Terry McLaurin had a disappointing showing last weekend as he brought in just one of his seven targets during their playoff-clinching victory over the Atlanta Falcons. Despite the poor showing, fantasy managers should continue to view McLaurin as a low-end WR1 heading into a Week 18 tilt against the Dallas Cowboys. Before Week 17, McLaurin was riding a four-game touchdown streak. Over this four-game stretch, McLaurin tallied six total touchdowns while seeing 7.5 targets per game and averaging 77.0 yards per game. Given his role as Jayden Daniels' go-to option in the passing game, McLaurin remains a must-start option in all formats. Facing the Cowboys, who have allowed the sixth-most PPR points to opposing wideouts, should put him in prime position to bounce back.

Chris Rodriguez Jr. Not A Viable Play In Week 18
Chris Rodriguez Jr. remains a desperation play heading into a Week 18 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. Last weekend, Rodriguez found the back of the end zone and added 16 yards on five attempts. For the second straight week, Rodriguez saw more rushing attempts than the presumed No.2 option, Jeremy McNichols. However, Rodriguez may revert to the No.3 role if Austin Ekeler (concussion) returns to action. He was able to practice in full all week and is listed as questionable which suggests he is nearing a return. If Ekeler does not return, Rodriguez would be viewed as a high-risk touchdown-dependent RB3. However, if Ekeler does return, fantasy managers should not view Rodriguez as a viable play facing the Dallas Cowboys as he would only see a handful of snaps.

Brian Robinson Jr. A Mid-Level RB2 Facing Dallas
Brian Robinson Jr. should be viewed as a mid-level RB2 facing the Dallas Cowboys. The Alabama product has found himself in a bit of a slump as of late. Over his past three contests, he has averaged just 8.9 PPR points per game and has not found the back of the end zone once over this stretch. In addition, he has averaged just 49.7 rushing yards per game. Before this stretch, Robinson tallied eight touchdowns over his first ten games of the season and ran for 64.0 yards per game. Fantasy managers should pay close attention to Austin Ekeler's (concussion) status before kickoff, as he could be nearing a return. If Ekeler suits up, Robinson may even see less work than he has, making him a low-end RB2. However, if the Commanders opt to rest Ekeler a week before the playoffs, then Robinson maintains his mid-level RB2 range against a Dallas defense, allowing the ninth-most PPR points to opposing RBs.

Jayden Daniels Remains High-End QB1 In Week 18
Jayden Daniels looks to cap off his impressive debut season in a divisional tilt against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 18. Last weekend, Daniels threw three touchdown passes and tallied over 350 all-purpose en route to leading the Commanders to their first playoff birth since the 2020 season. Over his past five contests, Daniels has found the end zone 17 times (15 passing, two rushing) and averaged 240.0 passing yards and 76.4 rushing yards per game. During this span, he threw at least two passing scores in each contest. Fantasy managers should continue to view the Pro Bowl quarterback as a high-end QB1 facing the Dallas Cowboys, who have allowed the most PPR points to opposing QBs this season. In addition, with the Commanders needing a victory to move up to the No.6 seed, suggests that Daniels will remain in the game as long as it stays competitive.

Austin Ekeler Questionable For Week 18
Austin Ekeler (concussion) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys. Ekeler has been on the injured reserve since suffering a concussion during their Week 12 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. However, Ekeler has been able to practice in full all week which suggests he has a good chance to return on Sunday. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status leading up to kickoff as his return could shape up the Washington backfield. While sidelined, Brian Robinson Jr. has seen a significant uptick in work on passing downs. However, when Ekeler returns, fantasy managers should expect him to reclaim his third-down role. If Ekeler does play this weekend, Robinson should be downgraded to a low-end RB2.

Kliff Kingsbury Would Like Another Shot At A Head-Coaching Gig
Jayden Daniels in 2024. The Chicago Bears make the most sense because of the fact that Kingsbury worked with quarterback Caleb Williams in 2023 at USC. The Bears will surely be looking for an offensive mind who can get Williams right, but it's unclear if Kingsbury will be their guy.

Washington Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury said that he would like another shot at a head-coaching gig "at some point" when asked about it during a press conference. The Commanders' season isn't over heading into the Week 18 regular-season finale this Sunday against the division-rival Dallas Cowboys after they clinched a playoff berth with a victory in overtime over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 17. However, with several head-coaching positions expected to become available on Black Monday, Kingsbury's name is already floating around as a candidate after the impressive work he's done with rookie quarterback Source: The Washington Post - Nicki Jhabvala
Dyami Brown Does Not Practice Wednesday
Dyami Brown (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday ahead of the regular-season finale against Dallas. The fourth-year receiver doesn't have a top-25 finish in PPR formats this year, but has an enticing matchup against a bad Dallas pass defense. Washington has committed to playing its starters, but certainly will be thinking about next week with a berth in the NFC playoffs already clinched. Brown's practice status will be worth watching as the Commanders progress through the week.

No Wednesday Practice For Terry McLaurin
Terry McLaurin (ankle, rest) did not practice on Wednesday prior to the regular-season finale against the Dallas Cowboys. Washington rested a number of its major players and will be an interesting case in Week 18. The Commanders have clinched a berth in the playoffs, but are locked into a Wild Card road game with the NFC East having already gone to Philadelphia. Commanders head coach Dan Quinn has said he intends to play starters, which would make McLaurin a WR1 option against a bad Dallas secondary if he plays. But it's worth watching throughout the week.

Commanders Open Practice Window For Austin Ekeler
Austin Ekeler (concussion) to return from Injured Reserve. It means that Ekeler can resume practicing with the team on Wednesday and will be eligible to come off IR and play in the Week 18 regular-season finale on Sunday against the division-rival Dallas Cowboys. If the 29-year-old pass-catching back is going to play this weekend, he'll need to come off IR by Saturday. It's good news for Washington's backfield, which has seen Jeremy McNichols and Chris Rodriguez Jr. get more run alongside starter Brian Robinson Jr. since Ekeler landed on IR on Nov. 30. Ekeler had been a solid RB3/flex option in PPR leagues when healthy, but he'll be a much more shaky fantasy play in Week 18 if he returns due to a potential limited workload if the team eases him back in. UPDATE: Ekeler practiced in full on Wednesday.

Jayden Daniels, Starters To Play Against Cowboys In Week 18
Jayden Daniels and the rest of the starters should suit up in Week 18 for fantasy managers that are still playing for a championship.
Source: The Athletic - Ben Standig
Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn said on Monday that the team will play to win this week at the division-rival Dallas Cowboys in the Week 18 regular-season finale on Sunday. As things currently stand after their Week 17 win over the Atlanta Falcons to clinch a playoff spot on Sunday night, Washington is the NFC's sixth seed. If they can beat the Cowboys this weekend, they will stay in the No. 6 spot and travel to either the Los Angeles Rams or the winner of the NFC South (Buccaneers or Falcons). A loss to Dallas and a win by the Green Bay Packers, and the Commanders would head to Philadelphia to face the Eagles in the wild-card round. Jamison Crowder Puts Up 25 Yards In Week 17
Jamison Crowder hauled in three of his five targets over 25 yards in Sunday night's 30-24 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Crowder has missed most of the season due to a calf injury. The veteran wideout returned from injured reserve in Week 15 and has slowly played more snaps and seen more targets in each game he has played. The three receptions were third on the team behind Zach Ertz and Olamide Zaccheaus. The Commanders clinched a playoff spot with their win in Week 17, so it is uncertain how head coach Dan Quinn will want to play things in Week 18 versus the Dallas Cowboys. Crowder's recent uptick in snap percentage and target share puts him on the WR4 map for Week 18.

Terry McLaurin Has Disappointing Showing In Week 17
Terry McLaurin hauled in just one of his seven targets during their victory over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday evening. His lone catch went for just five yards. McLaurin had a tough time getting open facing standout Atlanta defensive back A.J. Terrell who shadowed him all evening. Instead, No.2 wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus and tight end Zach Ertz did most of the damage through the air while Jayden Daniels added over 100 yards on the ground. This was only the fourth-time this season McLaurin tallied less than double-digit PPR points in a single game. Coming into this contest, the Ohio State product averaged 22.9 PPR points per game over his past four contests and found the end zone an impressive six times over this stretch. Despite the poor showing, McLaurin remains a must-start WR1 heading into a Week 18 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.

Zach Ertz Scores Twice In Playoff-Clinching Victory
Zach Ertz caught six of his seven targets for 72 yards and two touchdowns in their victory over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday night. Ertz had caught just three passes in total over his past two games but was able to snap this cold streak in a big way. The veteran tight end played a crucial role especially in the second half of this contest. Ertz found the end zone for the first time in the third quarter on a ten yard pass from Jayden Daniels. Then, the 34-year-old would play the hero as he hauled in the playoff-clinching score in overtime from two yards out. Despite his recent struggles, Ertz should continued to be viewed as a low-end TE1 playing on a high-octane Washington offense. He remains a solid play in all formats next weekend with Noah Brown (kidney) on the injured reserve as he should continue to see a reliable target share.

Olamide Zaccheaus Catches Eight Passes On Sunday Night
Olamide Zaccheaus caught eight of his nine targets for 85 yards and a score during their victory over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday evening. Zaccheaus got on the scoresheet early catching the first score of the game on a seven-yard strike from Jayden Daniels. Zaccheaus' targets, receptions, and yards paced all other Washington pass catchers in this contest and was Daniels' go-to option all evening. His longest reception went for 16 yards. With Noah Brown (kidney) and Dyami Brown (hamstring) both sidelined, Zaccheaus has made the most of his opportunities. Over the past two games he has scored three touchdowns and tallied at least 70 yards in each game. He should be viewed as a solid flex option in Week 18 facing the Dallas Cowboys.

Chris Rodriguez Jr. Punches In Score On Sunday Night
Chris Rodriguez Jr. ran for 16 yards and a score on five carries on Sunday evening in their victory over the Atlanta Falcons. Rodriguez also tallied 12 yards on his lone reception. The sophomore running back punched in his score in the fourth quarter on a two-yard carry. While Brian Robinson Jr. saw the vast majority of the attempts, it is promising to see Rodriguez's name called late in the game. In this game, he logged four more attempts than the presumed No.2 option Jeremy McNichols. The Kentucky product has seen a slight uptick in opportunities with Austin Ekeler (concussion) on the injured reserve over the past month. However, with Ekeler nearing a return, fantasy managers should not expect him to have a consistent role in the offense moving forward. For now, he projects to be a desperation flex play in Week 18 against the Dallas Cowboys.
