A long-term contract extension for Houston Texans Pro Bowl outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney is "on the horizon," according to new general manager Brian Gaine. Clowney is one of, if not the best, outside linebackers in the NFL, and he had a career-high 9.5 sacks and 20 tackles for losses in 2017. He is due $13.846 million in 2018 on the final year of his rookie deal, but Houston is expected to approach an extension with him that could make him the highest paid non-quarterback in the league. That means a contract could exceed the six-year, $114.1 million deal the Broncos gave linebacker Von Miller in 2016.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
