Brooklyn Nets rookie point guard Egor Demin is expected to log heavy minutes in his first NBA season. Drafted eighth overall out of BYU, Demin enters training camp as the projected starter at point guard on a roster lacking an established floor general. While there will be competition from fringe starters, Demin's playmaking and high basketball IQ should give him the edge. The 6'8" guard set a BYU freshman record with 180 assists last season and brings rare size and versatility to the backcourt. His length and instincts allow him to defend multiple positions, which should help him earn early trust from the coaching staff. Fantasy managers in deeper leagues should keep Demin on their radar, as his combination of minutes, playmaking, and defensive upside could make him a sneaky contributor right away.--Shaun Albin
