Dereck Lively II Will Miss At Least 7-10 Days
Dallas Mavericks center Dereck Lively II (foot) will miss at least the next three games, since he is currently being evaluated for swelling and discomfort in his right foot. He will not be available for the team's three-game road trip against the Lakers, Clippers, and Nuggets, and a further timeline will then be given for his return. Lively has played four of the Mavs' last seven games but just seven of their 19 games this season. When available, he has averaged 4.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 16.4 minutes. per game. While he's out, Daniel Gafford is expected to continue to start for the Mavs, while Dwight Powell and rookie Moussa Cisse will get playing time off the bench.
