Danielle Hunter Feeling Stronger, Quicker
7 years agoMinnesota Vikings defensive end Danielle Hunter, who has 19.5 sacks in the last two years, worked in the offseason with James Cooper, the former trainer for free-agent running back Adrian Peterson. Hunter has worked with Cooper since he entered the NFL in 2015 and said he has made physical strides this offseason. “I’m stronger,” Hunter said this week during organized team activities. “I’m much more quicker. Last year, I had put on weight (from 255 pounds in 2016), so now my body is used to it. … I went down there (to train in Houston), and I just focused. It’s as simple as that.” Hunter is in the final year of his four-year rookie deal and will be looking for big bucks if he has another successful season. He's a big reason why Minnesota's defense was one of the best in the league the last two years.
