Chase Anderson To Start On Opening Day
7 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Chase Anderson will start on Opening Day against the Padres, with Jhoulys Chacin starting one of the other days against San Diego, according to manager Craig Counsell. Zach Davies' (oblique) first assignment is undetermined, and he'll test his oblique in a camp game Monday. Anderson had a breakout year for Milwaukee in 2017, going 12-4 with a 2.74 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and career-high 8.5 K/9 in 25 starts. With Davies currently injured, this makes the most sense. Anderson will be a fine streamer in DFS formats against the Friars.
