Houston Astros catcher Brian McCann went 2-for-4 Tuesday night and now is 4-for-8 in his last two starts over the past week. The 34-year old catcher has been a solid presence in the lineup when he gets his opportunities, slashing .273/.381/.409 through 88 at-bats this season. At this point in his career, McCann is in a full-on time share with Max Stassi for catching duties. Stassi has produced a .290 batting average to this point and continues to earn more at-bats. McCann is no longer an everyday player as the team will try to keep him healthy for the long haul this season. McCann is a professional hitter with 10 seasons of 20-plus home runs under his belt but may fall short of that mark due to platooning with Stassi this season.--Joey C - RotoBaller
