Week 17 Wide Receiver Rankings Outlooks

DJ Moore, Chicago Bears

Chicago Bears wide receiver DJ Moore has been on a tear over the previous few weeks and is poised to retain an elevated role in the offense amid injuries to his teammates. Moore felt like an afterthought in Chicago's attack early in the campaign. Through the first nine games of the year, the University of Maryland alum had recorded just one touchdown and three double-digit fantasy performances.
However, he's been more involved over the last month or so, particularly with fellow wideout Rome Odunze (foot) battling a nagging foot issue. While it's unclear if Odunze will miss a fourth straight outing, he's yet to practice in any capacity since Week 15. Furthermore, rookie Luther Burden III (ankle) could also be out again. If one or both are inactive, fantasy managers can rely on Moore as a solid WR2 with upside against a vulnerable San Francisco 49ers defense on Sunday Night Football.

Christian Watson, Green Bay Packers

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson (shoulder, illness) will be a slightly more volatile fantasy option than usual for Saturday's home matchup with the Baltimore Ravens. Watson, like quite a few of his teammates, is dealing with multiple injury designations for their Week 17 tilt with Baltimore. In unfortunate news for the 26-year-old, a late-week illness may keep him from suiting up, as he's been deemed questionable after recording a DNP for Thursday's practice.
Even if Watson does eventually play, the uncertainty surrounding who will be the team's starting quarterback hurts his fantasy value. Currently, both Jordan Love (shoulder, concussion) and Malik Willis (shoulder, illness) are questionable, too, meaning Clayton Tune could end up being the one calling signals in a worst-case scenario. Fantasy managers relying on the fourth-year pro should closely monitor his status up until game time. Watson ranks as RotoBaller's PPR WR35 for his outing with Baltimore.
Michael Wilson, Arizona Cardinals
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Michael Wilson has begun to level out over the last two weeks after putting up video game numbers on the stat sheet earlier this season. Despite a dip in production, Wilson has still managed to put up reliable WR2 numbers in the fantasy football playoffs. The 25-year-old is RotoBaller's 14th-ranked wide receiver in Half-PPR formats ahead of a favorable Week 17 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Bengals' secondary has allowed the third-most receiving touchdowns and the sixth-most receiving yards this season. In a dream matchup, Wilson has the opportunity to put up arcade numbers in fantasy football championships. Even with Marvin Harrison Jr. (heel) questionable to play Sunday, Wilson can still be plugged into fantasy lineups as a WR2 with confidence.
