Week 13 Kicker Streamers and Starts - 2020 Fantasy Tiers, Rankings

younghoe koo fantasy football rankings news NFL DFS lineup picks

Week 13 ranks, tiers, and start/sit advice for 2020 fantasy football kickers. Gage's weekly K rankings and targets/avoids based on matchups, weather, and teams.

We’ve made it to Week 13. The fantasy playoffs are right there. For some of you, they may have even started already. For the rest of you, we can’t let up now. We have to finish strong because there are matchups that we’re playing for right now that will decide our fates for the rest of the season. As usual, kickers continue to be overlooked by the majority

Kickers may be dwindling for some, but they aren’t going quietly. Atlanta Falcons’ kicker Younghoe Koo put up 21 points this weekend, which, entering Monday, had him as the 23rd overall scorer on the week. 14 kickers scored at least 10 points on the week, which had them over guys such as Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott, New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas and Arizona Cardinals’ quarterback Kyler Murray.

We have now reached the end of our bye weeks, and we are on the brink of the fantasy playoffs. We have our final two teams heading for a week off in the Carolina Panthers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Both of these teams feature kickers that you’ve been trotting out on a weekly basis, so you’ll be looking for a replacement out of the guys we discuss today.

Tier 1 NFL Kickers

  1. Wil Lutz (NO) @ ATL
  2. Harrison Butker (KC) vs DEN
  3. Mason Crosby (GB) vs PHI
  4. Tyler Bass (BUF) @ SF
  5. Jason Myers (SEA) vs NYG

New Orleans Saints’ kicker Wil Lutz claims the top spot this week. The Saints aren’t moving the ball as well with quarterback Taysom Hill under center, but they’re finding ways to score. That will continue against Atlanta. Kansas City Chiefs’ kicker Harrison Butker claims our second spot. The Chiefs have been the NFL’s best offense since Week 5, and that train won’t be stopping against the Denver Broncos.

Green Bay Packers’ kicker Mason Crosby claims the next spot. This offense has put up 72 points in the last two weeks, and the matchup gets even easier against the Philadelphia Eagles. Buffalo Bills’ kicker Tyler Bass grabs the fourth spot. The Bills’ offense continues to roll, but more field goals could be headed his way against the San Francisco 49ers. Seattle Seahawks’ kicker Jason Myers rounds out our top five. The Seahawks offense will have to move the ball through the air, and they will be able to run up the score against a New York Giants’ team that is without their starting quarterback.

Tier 2 NFL Kickers

  1. Daniel Carlson (LV) @ NYJ
  2. Jason Sanders (MIA) vs CIN
  3. Justin Tucker (BAL) vs DAL
  4. Cody Parkey (CLE) @ TEN
  5. Dan Bailey (MIN) vs JAX

Las Vegas Raiders’ kicker Daniel Carlson is up next. The Raiders got smacked in the mouth in Week 12, but they have a great chance to bounce back against the New York Jets. Miami Dolphins’ kicker Jason Sanders claims the seven spot. He’s been nearly perfect this season, and the Cincinnati Bengals just don’t have the pieces to slow them down. Baltimore Ravens’ kicker Justin Tucker is next. The Ravens have seen their season go on life support, but a matchup with the Dallas Cowboys is a recipe to fix that.

Cleveland Browns’ kicker Cody Parkey is up next. This game has the potential to just be a shootout between the two running backs, but the Browns’ offense is slightly less explosive, which gives Parkey a good shot at points. Minnesota Vikings’ kicker Dan Bailey rounds out the top 10. They should have wideout Adam Thielen back next week, and the points should continue to flow for a team that has been rolling recently.

Tier 3 NFL Kickers

  1. Stephen Gostkowski (TEN) vs CLE
  2. Robbie Gould (SF) vs BUF
  3. Cairo Santos (CHI) vs DET
  4. Michael Badgley (LAC) vs NE
  5. Matt Gay (LAR) @ ARI

Tennessee Titans’ kicker Stephen Gostkowski leads our final tier. As I said with Parkey, it’s a matchup that could be weird, but the Titans are the better unit which leads to fewer field goals. San Francisco 49ers’ kicker Robbie Gould returns to the rank. This game is banking on some points being scored by both sides, which is possible against an explosive Bills group.

Chicago Bears’ kicker Cairo Santos is up next. This Bears’ team is flawed, but they can find ways to move the ball against the Detroit Lions’ defense. Los Angeles Chargers’ kicker Michael Badgley is up. This offense stumbled a bit in Week 12, but they are still moving the ball well. Against the New England Patriots, it should be a fun matchup. Los Angeles Rams’ kicker Matt Gay rounds out this week’s ranks. The Arizona Cardinals can’t really stop them, and it should lead to more points for Gay.

Kickers to Avoid

Sergio Castillo of the New York Jets is our first avoidance of the week because *checks notes* Adam Gase is still the head coach. This team had shown some fight recently until that all evaporated against the Miami Dolphins in Week 12. The tank rolls on.

Graham Gano of the New York Giants is next. It’s unfortunate because he’s been one of the best at the position all season, but, with quarterback Daniel Jones (hamstring) likely missing time, you just can’t trust quarterback Colt McCoy to move the ball.

Dustin Hopkins of the Washington Football Team claims the final spot. They have a road game against the Pittsburgh Steelers who are fighting for the top seed in the AFC right now. It’s going to be a bloodbath for that offense.
