When will Isiah Pacheco return and play? Will Isiah Pacheco be back again this season? Read the latest Isiah Pacheco injury updates and return date for Week 10 (2025).
The Chiefs took a tough loss to the Bills in Week 9, headed into their Week 10 bye week. They were without running back Isiah Pacheco for that contest, after he had started to take the majority of the work in the team's backfield timeshare.
Pacheco suffered a broken leg in Week 2 last season and has never quite regained his previous explosive form. His latest injury, though, is a knee injury suffered in Week 8 against the Commanders.
When will Isiah Pacheco return to action, and what is his fantasy football outlook when he does? Let's dive in.

Isiah Pacheco Injury Update
While taking his 12 carries for 58 rushing yards against the Commanders in Week 8, Pacheco picked up a knee injury that was diagnosed as an MCL sprain. While he is considered "week-to-week," the timing of the injury should play out in his favor with the team's bye week. He missed Week 9's game against the Bills, but reports indicate he could be back soon.
Isaiah Pacheco OUT for today’s game but Andy Reid telling me he avoided serious injury and should be back after the bye. Expect Kareem Hunt, Brashard Smith and Clyde Edwards-Helaire to carry the load #chiefs

Pacheco had been healthy since the start of the season, and he avoided major injury or any complications from his previous injury that forced him to miss extended time last season. The latest reports have him out this week (while the team is on a bye anyway) and on track to return in Week 11.
Isiah Pacheco Fantasy Football Outlook
If he's ready to return in Week 11, he'll return to a tough running back matchup on the road against the Broncos. He'll also return to a murky timeshare situation with Kareem Hunt and Brashard Smith. Before his injury, Pacheco had claimed a slight majority of the snaps and was getting most of the work. He played a season-high 77% of snaps in Week 6 and played at least 50% of the snaps in seven of his eight games this season. He was typically getting more carries than Hunt and Smith but was losing key goalline work at times.
Pacheco's best game of the year came in Week 7, when he set season highs in carries (15) and rushing yards (57) while also scoring his lone rushing touchdown of the season.

He will be worked back into the rotation, and he could resume his role as the go-to back, although he hasn't offered many big plays as either a rusher or receiver this season. As long as he remains in a timeshare, he will be a fringy flex play with touchdown-dependent upside.
After facing the Broncos and Colts, he does have some favorable matchups for the fantasy playoffs, facing the Cowboys (Week 13), Chargers (Week 15), and Titans (Week 16). He's worth holding on to or adding if he was dropped due to his long-range potential, but it's going to be hard to trust him in Week 11 even if he's ready to return.
