Week 10 fantasy football waiver wire pickups for Woody Marks, Nick Chubb, Tyjae Spears in 2025. Read their waiver wire outlooks for fantasy football.
Cycling through backup running backs, or those on teams mired in committees, is something most fantasy managers are familiar with. It sometimes only takes one game for a player to become a hot waiver wire target.
In the case of Houston Texans running backs Nick Chubb and Woody Marks and Tennessee Titans RB Tyjae Spears, fantasy managers have been keen on rostering them this year -- they all are on 50 percent or more of rosters right now.
That doesn't mean you might not want to check in on them if they're available in one of your leagues -- if you're hurting at the RB position or need fill-ins for bye weeks, should you grab one of these guys? Let's dive in.

Woody Marks Week 10 Waiver Wire Pickups
Rostered: 76% of Leagues
Baller Move: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
There isn't much point in adding Marks in leagues that he's not rostered in right now, unless he's being dropped by another fed-up fantasy manager. Marks scored just 2.7 PPR fantasy points in Week 9 -- the receiving role he had in previous weeks evaporated pretty quickly.
Marks has been a reliable receiver, but other than breaking off a few big runs after the catch on well-blocked plays, he hasn't had much of an ability to create more yards than the defense has given him. The Texans were stomped by the San Francisco 49ers in Week 9, and quarterback C.J. Stroud got injured.
I can't believe I didn't realize Woody Marks was 24 years old entering the NFL. For some reason that wasn't a knock to his game? He was terrible running between the tackles in college. A-gap runs... yikes. Underlined everything he was worst in the top 4 rounds of drafted RBs in pic.twitter.com/rX27LjkPfx

Marks is not elusive. He wasn't in college and he isn't in the NFL. He's often more of a product of the opportunities he's given and what's blocked for him than creating explosive plays on his own. That caps his upside. He also doesn't have the goal-line rushing role. I don't think he's worth an add outside of deep leagues.
Nick Chubb Week 10 Waiver Wire Pickups
Rostered: 60% of Leagues
Baller Move: Don't Add
If you grab either Chubb or Marks, you're probably not jumping to start them unless the one you didn't grab gets injured. Houston's committee backfield hurts the value of both of their top-2 running backs -- Chubb is even worse than Marks in that he has almost zero pass-catching role.
He rushed 10 times for 34 yards last week. His usage doesn't make him startable in fantasy football leagues, and he has just two rushing touchdowns in eight games. Chubb isn't what he was before a devastating knee injury prematurely ended his 2023 season.

His speed is significantly hampered and his elusiveness has taken a big hit. Sure, he can occasionally take a run for a touchdown, like on the above play against one of the NFL's worst rush defenses, but those rarely occur. It's better not to bother with Chubb -- Houston has an awful offense this year.
Tyjae Spears Week 10 Waiver Wire Pickups
Rostered: 60% of Leagues
Baller Move: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
Spears' nice efficiency day in Week 8 was followed by a regression in Week 9, and he scored just 9.6 PPR fantasy points against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. With a bye week coming up, he'll have some time to rest up, and we could see him come back a bit stronger in Week 11.
He missed the first four contests of 2025 and barely played in Week 5 due to injury issues. Since his return, he's been in a fairly even committee split with Titans RB Tony Pollard, which caps both of their upsides. He's been more efficient than Pollard, at least.

He's flashed nice elusiveness, but is playing for an awful offense -- Tennessee's O is so bad this year that it helped get their head coach, Brian Callahan, fired mid-season. They're still trying to find their way with a rookie quarterback that's struggling and not a lot of talent.
Spears is a nice stash and desperation spot start in deep leagues, though.
