Brock Purdy, Mac Jones Both Limited in Wednesday's Practice
Brock Purdy (toe, shoulder) and Mac Jones (knee) were both limited participants in practice on Wednesday, according to Matt Barrows of The Athletic. Head coach Kyle Shanahan said the two signal-callers would share the first-team practice reps on Wednesday, with third-stringer Adrian Martinez also getting some first-team work. Purdy has missed the last two games with turf toe and an AC joint sprain in his left shoulder, while Jones aggravated a PCL sprain in his left knee in the Week 3 win over the Arizona Cardinals. Jones has gone 53-for-80 for 563 yards, four touchdowns, and one pick in two starts in place of Purdy, without the luxury of having tight end George Kittle (hamstring). It's unknown who will start under center for San Fran in Week 4 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but for what it's worth, Purdy appeared close to a return last week.
