Hunter Greene to Throw a Bullpen Next Week
Hunter Greene (back, groin) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session when the team is in Boston next week for a series against the Red Sox. Greene is working his way back from multiple injuries that have kept him out for over three weeks now. It's good to see the hard-throwing 25-year-old hander getting ready to get back on the mound, but at this point in the schedule with the All-Star break quickly approaching, it's unlikely that he'll rejoin Cincy's starting rotation until the start of the second half of the season on July 18. Until then, the team's top pitching prospect, Chase Burns, will get a run in the big-league rotation after making his MLB debut on Tuesday night against the Yankees. Greene is a must-stash in all fantasy formats and had a 2.72 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 73 K's in 59 2/3 innings over 11 starts before his injury. He has the potential to be a difference-maker in the second half if he's healthy.
