UCL DFS Lineup Picks for DraftKings And FanDuel (9/30/25) - UEFA Champions League Soccer Matchweek 2, Day One

Brandon's DraftKings and FanDuel UCL DFS lineup picks for UEFA Champions League Soccer on 9/30/25 (Matchweek 2, Day One). His top daily fantasy soccer forwards, midfielders, defenders, goalkeepers.

Welcome back to “The Kick-Off” and welcome to the 25-26 season! The Champions League is ready for Matchweek Two! Following a few surprising upsets at the weekend, a few clubs will be looking for big bounce-back performances.  Let’s kick off Matchweek Two, Day One!

The top favorite for today is  Bayern München (-900) at Paphos FC (+2000). I will guide you through this four-match slate starting at 3:00 P.M. EST on Tuesday, September 30.

If you have any questions on today's slate, bankroll management, GPP strategy, Cash game strategy, or anything else, don't hesitate to contact me at [email protected], via X @df_solutions, or in our Discord chat rooms.

EPL DFS Goalies

Vitězslav Jaroš - DK $4.2K || FD $8

Opponent -  at Olympique de Marseille

With only one match of data to rely on, it is still difficult to assess each club’s offense and defense in the Champions League, thus making it increasingly difficult to find value at the goalkeeper position. However, Vitězslav Jaroš offers a glimpse of hope. He and de Godenzonen are traveling to the Orange Vélodrome in hopes of a bounce back after losing 2-0 to Inter Milan to start their Champions League campaign.

In Jaroš’s last five fixtures in all competitions, he has made 16 saves, conceded five goals, and recorded one clean sheet. So far in Ligue One, Olympique de Marseille is the fourth-best in Goals, the seventh-best in Shots, and the sixth-best in Chances Created. The expectations are that, despite Ajax’s inability to keep a clean sheet, their Shots Against Per 90 is high enough that Jaroš can meet and exceed value.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Alisson Becker (DK $5.4K || FD $11) at Galatasaray
  • Anatoliy Trubin (DK $3.9K || FD $8) at Chelsea FC

EPL DFS Forwards

Antoine Griezmann - DK $5.6K || FD $19

Opponent - vs. Eintracht Frankfurt

Antoine Griezmann could be a difference-maker in ‘CASH’ contests for Day One of Matchweek Two. The striker and playmaker still controls the majority of set pieces for Atletico Madrid, and he is playing at home against Eintracht Frankfurt. Why could he be a difference-maker? He may not be as highly owned as he typically is due to his matchup. Eintract Frankfurt beat Galatasaray in the opening week of the Champions League. Although that performance and the majority of Frankfurt’s season thus far were a fluke.

Eintract Frankfurt is performing beyond expectations right now with 17 Goals in their first five domestic fixtures, despite only having an Expected Goals For of 9.8. Luckily, they are also conceding six more goals than they should be. After a big performance against Real Madrid at the weekend and the home crowd bonus, expect Antoine Griezmann to reach double-digit fantasy points. In his most recent five fixtures in all competitions–three starts–he has one goal, four shots, six chances created, 22 crosses, 11 corners, two tackles, one interception, and three clearances.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Harry Kane (DK $12K || FD $24) at Paphos FC
  • Mason Greenwood (DK $9.4K || FD $20) vs. AFC Ajax

EPL DFS Midfielders

Dominik Szoboszlai - DK $6.1K || FD $17

Opponent -  at Galatasaray

It has not taken long for the newly acquired Florian Wirtz to get replaced by the dynamic midfielder and teammate Dominik SzoboSzlai. The latter has shown more in a lesser role than the former and has been promoted to an attacking role, having previously played defense, as a result. In Szoboszlai’s two matches as an attacking midfielder, he has produced three shots, four chances created, 16 crosses, 11 corners, one tackle, one clearance, and one block.

It is yet to be known if Galatasaray’s dominant loss to Eintracht Frankfurt was legitimate or an outlier. The Turkish giants remain one of the top clubs in the Trendyol Süper Lig, having conceded just two goals in seven domestic fixtures. Although the best clubs in the Süper League do not possess the same firepower as Liverpool. Will Szoboszlai record his first points as a midfield threat?

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Hakan Çalhanoğlu (DK $7.1K || FD $21) vs. SK Slavia Praha
  • Heorhii Sudakov (DK $5.4K || FD $18) at Chelsea FC

EPL DFS Defenders

Defenders

Sacha Boey - DK $3.3K || FD $9

Opponent - at Paphos FC

With all of the higher-salaried options at the different positions on the slate, it is required to ‘pay down’ somewhere. Defense is that position. Sacha Boey of Bayern München is expected to start at right back for this fixture. It may not be the most optimal considering Paphos FC’s predicted lack of possession; however, Boey is projected to have numerous opportunities to join the Bayern attack.

In his most recent five appearances in all competitions–two starts–he has three shots, three chances created, four crosses, six tackles, three interceptions, and six clearances. It is not optimal to chase clean sheets, especially in ‘CASH’ contests. However, the German giants possess the highest chances of keeping a clean sheet on the slate. Boey is expected to reach value, and that is all that is needed.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Federico Dimarco (DK $6.8K || FD $14) vs. SK Slavia Praha
  • Reece James (DK $5K || FD $11) vs. SL Benfica

Corner Takers

  • Atletico Madrid: Antoine Griezmann/Julian Alvarez
  • Eintracht Frankfurt: Fares Chaibi/Ritsu Doan
  • Chelsea FC: Reece James/Pedro Neto
  • SL Benfica: Heorhii Sudakov/Samuel Dahl
  • Inter Milan: Hakan Çalhanoğlu/Federico Dimarco
  • SK Slavia Praha: Michal Sadilek/Vasil Kusej
  • Bodø/Glimt: Patrick Berg
  • Galatasaray S.K.: Gabriel Sara/Ilkay Gundogan
  • Liverpool FC: Dominik Szoboszlai
  • Olympique de Marseille: Mason Greenwood/Amine Gouiri
  • AFC Ajax: Steven Berghuis/Kenneth Taylor/Mika Godts
  • Paphos FC: Mislav Orsic/Pepe Rodrigues
  • Bayern München FC: Michael Olise/Joshua Kimmich

Thanks for reading The Kick-Off. Good luck in all of your contests today!
