Quarterback (QB) Fantasy Football Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Picks for Week 13 (2025)

Trevor Lawrence - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Matt's quarterback (QB) fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 13 of 2025. His QB lineups advice for Week 13 fantasy football start/sit decisions.

With Thanksgiving this week, all 32 teams have dinner dates scheduled, so fantasy managers do not need to look for replacements for players on bye, but will need to break down this week's slate of matchups to gain an upper hand in what could be a pivotal point in the championship quests.

Last week, fantasy managers found serviceable replacements at the quarterback position in Jameis Winston and Cam Ward, whose performances earned them a spot in the top five for Week 12. At the same time, Lamar Jackson and Baker Mayfield failed to top eight fantasy points themselves. Now, the question is: who will be the turkey this week?

With that in mind, it's time to look at RotoBaller's Week 13 starts and sits for the quarterback position.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Week 13 - Fantasy Football Booms

Jacoby Brissett - QB, Arizona Cardinals at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

At some point, we really need to put some respect on Jacoby Brissett's name. Once again in Week 12, Brissett finished among the top 12 quarterbacks in fantasy scoring after throwing for 312 yards, a touchdown, and dropping 18.7 fantasy points.

With that 18.7-point fantasy performance, Brissett has now gone over that total in six straight contests, the only such current streak amongst the position. Since taking over under center, Brissett has averaged 21.4 fantasy points per game, a number that has only been topped by Jaxson Dart and Josh Allen among quarterbacks to play in three games or more.

As a starter, Brissett is averaging 314.5 passing yards per game and has tossed 11 touchdowns in his six starts. Meanwhile, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are allowing 243.5 passing yards per game (seventh-most) and have allowed 22.58 fantasy points per game to the quarterback position over their last four contests.

This season, Tampa Bay has run more than 50% of their coverages in either Cover 3 or Cover 4 shells, which plays to Brissett's strength and ability to attack the short and intermediate areas of the field with arguably the best tight end in the game today, Trey McBride.

Drake Maye - QB, New England Patriots vs New York Giants

While the New York Giants have been better in recent weeks, and I use that terminology loosely, they do not have a very good pass defense. Over the previous four weeks, the Giants have yielded 22.37 fantasy points per game, and last week, it was Jared Goff who threw for 279 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

On the season, New York has conceded 2,901 passing yards, 21 touchdown passes, and 20.94 fantasy points per game to the quarterback position, the second-most. For the Giants, it's not just the passing touchdowns; they have also allowed quarterbacks to rush for a league-high 302 yards and add four rushing touchdowns to their offensive totals. For a dual-threat quarterback such as Drake Maye, there is top-3 fantasy upside available to him in this contest.

Maye enters this week's contests first in completion percentage (71.9%), passing yards 2,836, deep ball passer rating (135.4), and tied for first in games with multiple touchdown passes with eight. Maye has also been one of the most consistent quarterbacks this season, averaging 20.3 fantasy points per game, going over 17 fantasy points in nine of 12 contests this season, and reaching that 17-point threshold in six of the last seven games.

Trevor Lawrence - QB, Jacksonville Jaguars at Tennessee Titans

People may not want to admit it, but since Week 5, Trevor Lawrence has been a fringe QB1 in fantasy, averaging 19 fantasy points over his previous seven contests and hitting the over on 17 fantasy points in five of those games, including a 20.1 fantasy point performance last week against the Cardinals after throwing for 256 yards and a trifecta of passing touchdowns. That fantasy production would have been much higher had it not been for the four turnovers.

Lawrence may not be the long-term answer for the Jaguars. Still, for fantasy managers, he'll do the trick for now, especially this week, facing a Tennessee Titans defense that is currently surrendering 22.45 fantasy points per game over the last four weeks. Over those four weeks, the Titans have played in three games, allowing 796 passing yards, 75 rushing yards, and seven total touchdowns to opposing quarterbacks.

This season, Tennessee has run zone coverages on 77% of its defensive play calls, which adds value to Lawrence this week, especially considering the rushing upside Lawrence offers. Lawrence may not have a 30-point week, but considering his recent play and how friendly the Titans have been as of late, a 17-point performance is more than a realistic expectation for fantasy managers looking for a safer option this week at the quarterback position.

Week 13 - Fantasy Football Busts

Jared Goff - QB, Detroit Lions vs Green Bay Packers

Goff's 196 fantasy points to date have him currently residing in the top 12 when it comes to fantasy scoring at the quarterback position, and the 17.8 fantasy points per game that have come along with that have given fantasy managers the appearance of stability at the position for much of the season.

Here's the thing: the numbers are somewhat deceptive. In 11 contests, Goff has failed to surpass 14 fantasy points in five of those contests. While he has been better as of late, back in Week 1, the Green Bay Packers limited Goff to 225 passing yards and sacked him four times, holding him to 11.9 fantasy points, his second-lowest total of the season.

This season, Green Bay has been the sixth-stingiest defensive unit facing opposing quarterbacks in fantasy, limiting them to 13.37 fantasy points per game. In the last four weeks, that number has become even more daunting as the Packers have held fantasy production to a standstill and 10.70 fantasy points per game.

In the Packers' previous four contests, they have surrendered just 705 passing yards and three touchdowns, while coming away with a pair of interceptions in those four contests.

Joe Burrow - QB, Cincinnati Bengals at Baltimore Ravens

The temptation to insert Joe Burrow back into fantasy lineups may be too great to heed my warning. As good as Joe Burrow has been in his career, in games we have seen him suit up this season, he's completed 21 of 36 passes for 189 yards and been sacked five times. That Week 2 contest was cut short due to injury, but in a game and a half, Burrow has registered just 15.8 fantasy points.

Last season, Burrow tore the Ravens' secondary apart in the two contests he faced them. Burrow would end up throwing for 820 yards and nine touchdowns, but that was before the Ravens fixed their defensive woes.

Baltimore once again started the 2025 season slowly. Still, over the last four weeks, the defense has been the team's identity, holding opposing quarterbacks to 227.3 passing yards per game and just a single touchdown pass, while forcing five interceptions. When you add that up, you have a defense that has been allowing 9.97 fantasy points per game, the third-fewest over that period.

Geno Smith - QB, Las Vegas Raiders vs Los Angeles Chargers

When it comes to the Raiders' offense, the answer is no. I could leave it at that, but I've been told I need to meet the required word count in this week's column, so here I go.

Perhaps I am wrong, maybe it's addition by subtraction in Las Vegas, after Chip Kelly was given his walking papers following another abysmal performance in Week 12 against the Cleveland Browns. This season, the Raiders have the third-worst offense in terms of total yards per game as they have been averaging 268.9 per contest with 189.5 of those coming by way of the passing game, the eighth-fewest.

That's not even the worst of it. Geno Smith is tied with Tua Tagovailoa as the most picked off quarterback this season, as each signal caller has thrown 13 interceptions this season, and let's keep piling on, after being sacked 10 times last week, the Raiders have now allowed 41 sacks this season, the second-most.

Los Angeles enters the contest with 29 sacks this season, the 10th-most, so with a Raiders run game that has been nonexistent (79.5 yards per game), Khalil Mack will have his ears pinned back, and I'm not sure Smith will be fully recovered from the physical toll last week's contest had on his body.
