Tua Tagovailoa, Dolphins Offense On Pace To Break Records?
1 year agoThe Miami Dolphins offense, led by quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, has been special through the first five weeks of the season. In total, they've racked up 2,568 yards of offense, which is the most for a team in NFL history through five games, passing the Rams' "Greatest Show on Turf" in 2000, which had 2,527 yards through five games. Tagovailoa is currently on pace to threaten Peyton Manning's single-season passing yards mark of 5,477 in 2013 (in 16 games). For a 17-game season, Tagovailoa is on pace for 5,487 yards, per NFL Research. Tua has thrown for a league-best 1,614 yards, 116 more than second-place Kirk Cousins. The 25-year-old signal-caller will have his work cut out for him in Week 6 against a Carolina Panthers defense that hasn't allowed many passing yards yet this year.
