Thomas Greiss Produces A 35-Save Shutout
2 years agoSt. Louis Blues goaltender Thomas Greiss sent the Minnesota Wild home unhappy Sunday, stopping 35 shots to record his first shutout of the season in a 3-0 win. He had an easy night at the office at first, with the Wild managing just 12 shots on the net in the first two periods, but Greiss then faced a very heavy barrage in the third. The German netminder was playing in his first game since Dec. 20 and improved to 5-5-0 for the season. His goals-against average of 3.23 is pretty poor, but Greiss has been a solid backup overall for St. Louis, producing a .911 save percentage.
