Tests Come Back Negative On Austin Ekeler
2 years agoLos Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler (shoulder) had tests done on his shoulder on Monday, according to head coach Brandon Staley, but they came back negative. Ekeler was forced to the blue medical tent on the sidelines early in the Week 15 win over the Tennessee Titans, but he later returned to lead the Bolts' backfield on Sunday. He didn't have a typical monster fantasy performance, but he was still solid for fantasy managers with 12 carries for 58 yards and a touchdown while adding two receptions for 12 yards on 69 percent of the offensive snaps. The 27-year-old could be rested in practice this week, but all signs point to him being active on Monday night against the Indianapolis Colts. The overall RB2 in half-point PPR scoring this year, Ekeler should remain a must-start RB1 the rest of the way.
