Saints Plan to Cut Clyde Edwards-Helaire
Clyde Edwards-Helaire, a source tells Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football. Edwards-Helaire was originally the 32nd overall pick by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2020 out of LSU, but he never really panned out after running for 803 yards and four touchdowns in 13 starts in his rookie season. The 26-year-old joined the Saints last year but played in only two games and carried the ball 13 times for 46 yards, catching three of five passes for 24 additional yards. CEH will now be looking to join his third NFL team before the start of the 2025 regular season, but he's well off the fantasy radar in all formats. The Saints are moving forward with starter Alvin Kamara in their backfield, with Kendre Miller, Velus Jones Jr., rookie Devin Neal and Marcus Yarns backing him up.
