Colorado Avalanche goaltender Pavel Francouz (lower body) will sit out the entire 2023-24 campaign, the team announced on Sunday. The 33-year-old was shelved at the start of the season with a lower-body injury, and he will be with his family back home in the Czech Republic for the rest of the year. Francouz is in the final year of his contract, and we may have seen the last of him in the NHL. Throughout his career, Francouz has been a very valuable backup, posting a 44-21-6 record. He joined the Avalanche from the KHL in 2018 and helped the team win the Stanley Cup in 2022.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
