2 years agoColorado Avalanche goaltender Pavel Francouz posted his first shutout of the season in Saturday's matchup against Ottawa, stopping 29 pucks in a 7-0 victory. Artturi Lehkonen and Alex Newhook carried the offense, with both players enjoying three-point nights. This was only the second appearance for Francouz after he was sidelined by a lower-body injury for multiple weeks. He now owns a 5-6-0 record for the season and has registered a 2.57 goals-against average with a .919 save percentage. Francouz might have a losing record but has put in solid work, and it looks like the team is planning to ride him for a bit, with this being his second consecutive start and Alexandar Georgiev having struggled with a poor 1-5-1 run.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
