Owen Caissie 2026 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Likely a Swing Change Away from Fantasy Impact
Owen Caissie batted .192/.222/.346 with a homer in 27 MLB plate appearances last season, but he fared far better at Triple-A with a .286/.386/.551 line and 22 homers in 433 PAs. Caissie strikes out often, with a 29 K% across his first four pro seasons and a 27.9 K% at Triple-A in 2025. He also knows how to work a walk (13.2 BB% last year) and boasts impressive raw power (25.6 percent HR/FB), leading to Joey Gallo comparisons. Unfortunately, Caissie's swing doesn't produce Gallo's loft, as last season's 34.5 FB% at Triple-A was marginally higher than his 2024 (33.4 percent) and his 2023 at Double-A (32.1 percent). He'll need more flies to translate his raw power to homers, especially since his strikeouts cap his average upside. Caissie's plate discipline peripherals weren't bad last season with a 25.7 percent chase rate and 11.9 SwStr% at Triple-A, so he could make a huge fantasy impact with more fly balls. As it stands, the 23-year-old isn't worth a roster spot as a platoon corner outfielder hitting seventh for the Miami Marlins even if his ADP is 570.69.
