Mike White Auditioning For 2023 Starting Role?
2 years agoNew York Jets quarterback Mike White (ribs), who was cleared on Monday to play in Week 17 against the Seattle Seahawks, is likely auditioning for the starting gig in 2023 over the final two weeks of the regular season this year. White has been a huge upgrade over the struggling Zach Wilson this year, and he'll be a free agent this offseason. The Jets offense has averaged 421.3 total yards per game with White leading them, which would rank first in the NFL. With Wilson under center, the team has averaged 269 yards per game, which would rank last. Both receivers Garrett Wilson and Elijah Moore have made it clear they prefer White under center, and they'll get their wish. White returning under center gives all of the Jets' offensive weapons more fantasy upside the rest of the way.
