Mike Trout Resting Tuesday
2 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout is taking the day off on Tuesday versus the Texas Rangers. It's probably the perfect time for Trout to receive a breather, as he's gone just 5-for-38 (.132) with a homer, six RBI and 14 strikeouts in 11 games so far in the month of June. The recent cold stretch has lowered his season slash line to .255/.358/.473 with an .831 OPS, 11 doubles, 14 long balls, 37 RBI and 41 runs scored in 285 trips to the plate over 64 games. The 10-time All-Star isn't running anymore, but he remains a must-start in fantasy lineups when he's active and he continues to get on base frequently. With Trout out Tuesday, Mickey Moniak is starting in center field and batting seventh against Rangers rookie left-hander Cody Bradford.
