Josh Donaldson Could Return Wednesday
2 years agoNew York Yankees third baseman Josh Donaldson (hamstring) is scheduled to play in a minor-league rehab game on Tuesday, April 18, for Double-A Somerset, and he could be activated from the 10-day injured list on Wednesday, April 19. He was able to work out on the field at Yankee Stadium last Thursday, and manager Aaron Boone said that Donaldson "looked really good; I just watched him take ground balls, and I thought that looked really good. I heard his BP looked really good. He's feeling good. Now it's just a matter of when (he will be activated)." Hopefully, the 37-year-old will be able to pick things up at the plate when he returns, as he had just two hits in his first 16 at-bats with a solo home run and six strikeouts before landing on the injured list.
