Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman John Klingberg (undisclosed) has been placed on long-term Injured Reserve. He has already missed the last two games, and the move means Klingberg isn't ready to go anytime soon. The 31-year-old is reportedly dealing with a hip issue. Klingberg, an offensive defenseman, has been largely ineffective during his debut campaign in Toronto, failing to score and notching only five assists in 14 outings. Simon Benoit has filled in for Klingberg lately, but Conor Timmins (lower body) is expected to enter the frame on Friday versus Chicago. It's going to be a season debut for the 27-year-old after Timmins sustained a lower-body injury in a preseason game.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
