James Robinson In Danger Of Not Making The Team
1 year agoThe Bergen Record's Art Stapleton is projecting New York Giants running backs James Robinson and Gary Brightwell to be left off the final 53-man roster at the end of the preseason and training camp. Saquon Barkley, Matt Breida and Eric Gray are expected to be the three RBs that the Giants keep, with Jashaun Corbin likely to join the practice squad to begin the year. It's been a steep fall for Robinson after he posted 1,070 rushing yards in his rookie season with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2020. Since then, he was traded to the New York Jets and released by the New England Patriots after signing a two-year deal this offseason. It appears he just isn't 100 percent still after tearing his Achilles at the end of 2021. The 25-year-old remains well off the fantasy radar.
