Falcons Sign Clint Ratkovich
2 years agoThe Atlanta Falcons signed free-agent fullback Clint Ratkovich to their practice squad on Tuesday, according to a source. Ratkovich was one of the draft's top fullbacks before he tore his ACL in a private workout for the Green Bay Packers. Because of the knee injury, the 25-year-old went undrafted, although he did get a workout for the Chicago Bears last month. The Falcons will take a chance on him with an eye toward the future. In his final year in college at Northern Illinois, Ratkovich had 98 carries for 448 yards and 12 touchdowns, but he'll likely operate mostly as a blocker in the NFL.
