Dylan Carlson Hitting From Both Sides Of The Plate
2 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol said that outfielder Dylan Carlson (ankle), who is rehabbing from a left-ankle sprain, is hitting from both sides of the plate now and is also running again. Carlso will need a minor-league rehab assignment of at least a couple of games before coming off the 10-day injured list. The 24-year-old should start his rehab assignment by the end of this week, and barring a setback, he could be back in the big leagues for the Cards by early next week at the latest. When Carlson returns, he's expected to take over starting duties in center field, which will push Lars Nootbaar to a corner-outfield spot. Before his injury, Carlson had gone just 23-for-100 (.230) with four doubles, a triple, two home runs, 12 RBI, a stolen base and 12 runs scored in 32 games played.
