Craig Anderson Ties Career High With 53 Saves In Friday's Win
2 years agoBuffalo Sabres goaltender Craig Anderson tied his career high with 53 saves and backstopped the team to a 3-1 victory over Florida on Friday. He was only beaten by Carter Verhaeghe in the middle of the third frame. Anderson's 53 saves are the most ever in a Sabres win and it's the third-highest save total overall in franchise history. At 41 years and 279 days, Anderson became the oldest goalie in NHL history to register 50-plus saves in a single game. Anderson might be turning 42 in a couple of months' time, but he is still performing well, boasting a 9-7-2 record for the campaign with a 2.70 goals-against average, a .920 save percentage and one shutout.
