Brenton Strange Needs Time To Develop
2 years agoJacksonville Jaguars rookie tight end Brenton Strange (undisclosed), who was taken in the second round (61st overall) of this year's NFL draft, has been a full participant in organized team activities since suffering a minor injury on the last day of rookie minicamp. Strange has stood out a couple of times, but it will take him time to acclimate to a brand-new system in his rookie year. The team will have to wait until training camp to get a good look at his blocking abilities, but the former Nittany Lion was known for his blocking prowess in college. The 22-year-old will develop in a secondary role in 2023 behind Evan Engram, who had a career year for the Jaguars in 2022. As with most rookie tight ends, Strange is unlikely to have any fantasy appeal in his first NFL season.
