J.J. Moser Suspended for Two Games
Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman J.J. Moser will miss the start of the season due to a two-game suspension. He received the suspension for boarding Florida Panthers forward Jesper Boqvist in a preseason game on Saturday. Minor-league forward Scott Sabourin, who also played on Saturday night, was handed a four-game suspension for a separate incident in the contest. Moser featured in 54 games with the Lightning last season, tallying 14 points (two goals, 12 assists), 48 shots, 70 blocks, and 34 hits. The 25-year-old finished the campaign with a very impressive plus-20 rating. Emil Lilleberg and Max Crozier will start the season as Tampa's third defensive pairing until Moser returns. He's eligible to make his season debut on Monday against the Boston Bruins.
