Brenton Doyle Returns Against Diamondbacks
11 months agoColorado Rockies rookie outfielder Brenton Doyle (knee) is back in center field and is hitting eighth in the starting lineup on Monday against right-hander Ryne Nelson and the Arizona Diamondbacks. Doyle bruised his right knee during a collision with the outfield wall late last week and missed the team's last three games over the weekend. The dynamic 25-year-old outfielder has been productive for the Rockies so far in his first 26 major-league games, going 18-for-75 (.240) with three doubles, a triple, four home runs, 14 RBI, seven stolen bases and 14 runs in 80 plate appearances. He also has a whopping 29 strikeouts, but Doyle has intriguing upside in an everyday role for fantasy managers because of his power and speed.
