The Dallas Stars have signed veteran goaltender Braden Holtby to a one-year, $2 million contract on Wednesday. The 31-year-old became a free-agent on Tuesday when the Vancouver Canucks bought out the final season of his two-year, $8.6 million contract. Holtby had a tough campaign with the Canucks in 2020-2021 - posting a 7-11-3 record to go along with a 3.67 goals-against average and a .889 save percentage in 21 appearances. The former Stanley Cup Champion will most likely settle into a back-up role with the Stars in 2021-2022 but could earn his way into a timeshare situation with Anton Khudobin should he start out well out of the gates. Until then, he probably should be left untouched in most fantasy drafts this fall.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller
