Andres Munoz Feeling Great, Could Return Soon
2 years agoSeattle Mariners right-hander Andres Munoz (shoulder), who experienced stiffness and discomfort in a penultimate throwing program before beginning a minor-league rehab assignment, "feels great coming off" the platelet-rich plasma injection he received on May 5, according to general manager Justin Hollander. Munoz is "progressing toward what we hope is an activated sometime over the next road trip," Hollander said. The 24-year-old has ramped up his throwing and was scheduled for a "touch-feel" bullpen on Monday that "will lead into progressively more significant throwing off a mound and facing hitters in a rehab assignment." It's looking like Munoz could return to his high-leverage bullpen role in Seattle early in June. He's valuable in fantasy leagues that count holds and for his strikeout ratios.
